road work

The City of Richardson has decided to replace portions of sidewalks. This week it's our street's turn. Reece was thoroughly enthralled with the workers. He had his afternoon snack here in his rocker staring. I was able to read my book for 20 minutes!!!! Keep it up Richardson! Tomorrow we may spend the entire day in the front room. :)

Pointing. They are there-- I promise. They left their Powerade bottle on our grass when they left at 7:00 pm. The sidewalk is not even that bad... oh well - good use of $$.

a new morning must have

Every morning we watch video's from my parents. Reece talks to them. The first thing he asks for when he wakes up is for his Papa. We watch the videos no less than 5 times in a row. The other day he reached over to the laptop and clicked play on his own. So we have started making little videos to send back to them off us watching. Just thought I would share what he is obsessed with right now!

weekend at the lake

Cedar Creek Lake at the Funk's house.
We had a great 4th/5th of July. I didn't take anypictures but these were captured from a friend's FB. gotta love facebook.
Reece's first photograph -- he was the photographer.

Waiting for the fireworks

Entertaining a toddler is a tough job!

We had a great time floating in the lake, exploring the grounds, and eating a great buffet of different dishes. Mostly adults and a few kids, there were almost 80 of us celebrating together. We spent the night in a room with 2 toddlers and 6 adults. It was so worth spending the night to wake up to the peacefulness of a lake.

Memorial Day - California Trip

Great family time!

We spent a lot of time hanging out with my family last weekend. I miss California a lot so I treasure every moment we are there. We ate every meal outside on my parent's patio, went to the beach for a little while, and spent some quality time with my cousin's - also known as Reece's cous-uncles and cous-aunts. I can't wait for our family vacation with everyone in a few weeks!

This pictures is quitessential of my dad's house. He's been saving all of his wine corks for sometimee now and has a lot- this is just some of them. Apparently, I told him to save them for a project - like a cork wreath, or cork trivet... anywho...Reece got a hold of the box that they were in and dumped it over. They did provide hours (minutes) of entertainment. Throwing, floating in the fountain, stacking, etc. Thanks Dad for your wine club memberships and for providing our son with such age appropriate toys. ;)

Moving on to the rocks by the fountain... another "toy." He often could be seen carrying a pet rock. It had to stop when he started banging a window with one. Similar to throwing a rock at a window...not a good idea.

At the Langham (the old Ritz) for lunch and pool time with the cousin's.

Ali and Danny... they love Reece - and need one of their own!!

PK and Reece on the duffy ( a small boat) in Newport. We went to have dinner with my parent's friends.

Mom and Dad smiling, GJ getting R's attention.

Where did Reece get his hair color.... why, from his GJ!

Great-grandma and PK

The best day of our weekend was Sunday. We spent the entire day hanging out at our house. We had In - and -Out, and splashing pool time thanks to my brother's girlfriend, Amy and a fantastic bbq rib dinner.

About to have his first burger... big deal!!!

more french fries please

loving it. notice the casual outdoor dining.

playing in the foot pool. great for feet not so much for swimming.

foot pool shot.

much more fun than pool - good thing there aren't any water restrictions in LA!

a parting shot of a flower from my mom's rose garden.

Thanks mom and dad for another great family weekend! Grandma and cousins, Amy and Bri - we loved all of the time together~

R-man is just a silly boy - who is all boy and yet talks as much as most girls. constantly jabbering a way. :) the countdown to the end of the school year is on...17 more days with kids. I can do it! Monty's meeting with spinal surgeons next week to have a better diagnosis and idea of what options are available at the present time. Thanks for your continued prayers in this area. In case you forgot what we look like, these are from today.
