Chillaxin'

We spent our weekend chillaxin'. It has been fantastic minus Reece's fever and new avoidance to sleeping on his own. He came down with a 101.4 fever Friday afternoon and after a quick stop by the peditricians, it was determined that he must just have a virus - thankfully not another ear infection. Yesterday morning, I taught Saturday school - oh so much fun - and then we relaxed in our comfy clothes rest of the day. Since the little guy is not knee crawling yet, I figured I should snap a few pics of what he is doing. :) Oh and we came to the conclusion that he is getting his molars in. The dr. said that they come in fairly soon after the last of the front 8, and since he has a full grill in the front?! Plus, as of last night, he still had a low fever but no additional signs of a virus BUT a constant finger in the back of his mouth. It just feels so odd that he's not even 9 months yet and his molars could be coming in. Anyway, please excuse the mess in the background, we (monty) was folding clothes while I was teaching.

Standing...

Look Mom, I have my card AND not falling over!

Eating the card

This is for Grandma- in his high chair. She thinks he eats a lot because I have lots of pics in his chair - it's not that Grandma, it's just when we spend out time together in the evening and I have my camera.
Trying to eat and lick the plate of sweet potatoes and avocados.

In Daddy's shirt...
We have started feeding him in his diaper b/c he was puking on all of his clothes and bibs, so naked is easier to clean up and his Daddy's shirt is easier to put on a kinda sticky baby before his bath :)
We had a busy morning at church this morning and then headed to the mecca, Super Target and home for homemade tortilla soup. Reece and I took a little siesta on the couch while Monty watched Kung Fu Panda.
Time for Cowboy's Football! Hope you had a snuggly family weekend too!

Top Chef

started on Wednesday and we missed it!?!?! We are so sad - good thing Bravo runs their shows frequently. Just one more thing to add to our DVR which will finally get watched over Thanksgiving break. I am so far behind that we have 4 Grey's to watch!!!

busy

We have been busy busy busy! I was in Austin this past weekend celebrating my friend, Kate, at her baby shower. It was a great girls weekend at her mom's house outside of town. We drank coffee on the veranda snuggled under blankets and relaxed. I finished Twilight and had time to just "be". Lyla Grace is due in January and we are all so excited. I am now on to the 2nd book in the series - if anyone is a fan, a bunch of us are going to the movie next Friday after school! :) Kinsey, you want to join?!?! I seriously finished the 1st book at 11 p.m. Saturday night and was at the local Barnes at noon to buy my book for the 30 minutes flight home! :) While I was away, the boys played!! Monty had a great father-son weekend that included: pizza, army crawling, and of course, football. When I got home Sunday evening, he was barely hanging on! Some of you may know that we have had a bit of a problem feeding Reece, here lately. He gags and pukes almost every meal with us -- at daycare, well they are miracle workers and dance and sing and the whole bit and sneak the food in his mouth. I just don't do that. So we had a big breakthrough last night and it continued today. He will chew/sallow rinsed canned peaches(the kind in100% juice -don't worry - no sugar) AND yes... AND... mashed potatoes at the Hewes' home AND then tonight homemade hummus(pureed garbanzo beans and water). It is a self-serve meal b/c if I even attempt to put the spoon in his mouth, he throws a fit. So, we may have moved passed the barfing every night in the high chair stage. I will be honest, I will be THRILLED if we have. If not, we will be on our way to find someone to teach him how to swallow without gagging! I know some of you BU speech path peeps knows somebody!!!? :) So here's the little man happily eating tonight~

Costume Time

My little Elephante` and his cousin, Clay, the Joker.

Happy times... I realize now that I should have staged a few pics... oh well.
Arriving at Aunt Beth's and Uncle MR's house.

Reece and Ch-low (chloe) B and her momma posing at the Trunk or Treat at our church.
I can really understand why kids trick or treat less and less these days. We had so much fun at our 80's game booth. Reece ate his snout, I shagged random basketballs, and Monty coached the little players. Fun times had by all.

Pumpkin Patch at the Arboretum

The arboretum is my favorite place to visit during the fall. I love the pumpkins and the beautiful rainbow of colors in mums. It was different going on a weekend with my hubby - I am much more comfortable with 50 students running aroud with low parental supervision! :) SOOO anyway, enjoy a peek at the Kennedy Family Fall Fun DaY!

Lovin' the weather!

Didn't eat lunch so he thought a pumpkin might be a good snack!

A look of interest and curiosity~

hehe...having so much fun!

Reece and Papa

We are back from a great trip to California honoring my late grandpa. Papa Howard was a terrific man and great papa. Even with all of my family together for 4 days, we didn't ever get a group shot. I guess it was not the right time, even though we had a awesome time celebrating his life.

Reece and Dad playing with the sugar holder at Houston's - hey we were with my parents, it's something we do :)

Uncle Brian and his girlfriend, Amy

Cous-aunt Jule and Reece hanging outside - it get's chilly at night!

so sleepy - not quite adjusted to the time change!
