We had a fantastic 4th of July weekend!! Monty and I both love how everyone comes together to celebrate such a special day for our country.
My friend Maggie invited us to her parent's lake house at Cedar Creek Lake. It was such a cool house...painted turquoise blue with white trim, the house has a very beachy feel, which we, of course, loved.
Being built on stilts, allowed for this amazing breeze way with hamocks to be our resting place for the afternoon. We swung and enjoyed the view from the point. Her house is on a point and also a cove that has a "sandy" beach. Reece went in his swim-float, courtesy of his friend Luke, with the adults for some relaxing lake floating. He just loved it...he spent a good 30 minutes just kicking and giggling and relaxing in the water. It's too bad I didn't have my camera handy because it was a sight to see. Because there were plenty of babysitters on hand,Monty and I were able to have some free time on the boat for tubing. We are definitely feeling a little bit older as we are still sore from the rides!
With all of the activities and entertainment, our new nap schedule was shot and Reece stayed wide-eyed until he got in his carseat AFTER the fireworks (yes like 8 hours straight!) He definitely has some of my personality --- always wanting to see/hear/watch the action and stubborn to boot!

How fun, we love Cedar Creek lake. We missed you on Sunday but you're in luck, we moved the first Sunday breakfast to next Sunday along with the Diapers Shower for Mandy.
What a fun 4th of July & small world b/c our lake house overlooks the house where you guys were celebrating. We are enamored with the turquoise house on stilts b/c it seems so neat! What fun!!!
